Commissioned Ice Stamping Tray
This project was commissioned by Glacio CEO, Geoffrey Wilson, as an experiment to enter the ice stamping market. They currently provide minimal, high-quality ice molds for home mixologists. Through some initial drawings and multiple iterations, we came up with a beautiful, elegant product. Sand-blasted aluminum was selected as the material due to its aesthetic and feel. Its heat transfer coefficient, K, isn't as efficient as brass, for example, but it is still high enough for our use.

Provided with initial ideas and sketches, I put together a draft and made quick progress with pattern filling in SolidWorks.
Draft sent before continuing the other patterns (Draft #2).
Close to finishing! (Draft #4 with rendered sand-blasted aluminum material).
After draft #4, the final idea came through. Switching two pattern locations and readjusting the dimensions of one pattern.
Viola! Final part drawing.
This project improved my communication skills with clients and manufacturing partners. It also allowed me to expand my experience with SolidWorks pattern filling. It was beyond rewarding to bring someone's idea to life.

I also meditated a lot in between SW crashes. PC upgrade coming soon.
